You must be logged into your USTA account in order to search for a junior rating level. If you have not participated in any of these events in the last 18 months, of if you are new to USTA-sanctioned competition, you will need to complete the self-rate process. ADVERTISEMENT Players should rate themselves based on their overall tennis ability. If players are stronger at singles or doubles, they should base their rating on the stronger game.
The rating scale for junior players is shown in tenths, starting with 1.0, which is the lowest, progressing to 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, etc., until you reach 7.0, which is the highest rating. Are Ratings for Adult Tennis Players Different than those for Junior Players?

The Different Junior Tennis Levels (Explained) Junior tournaments are normally placed in one of seven levels by the USTA: Level 7 tournaments are described as ‘futures’ events, and offer a starting point for players new to competition. Level 6 ‘challenger’ events are for players who are ready to move beyond level 7.
